I knew I had found a great school when the 3 people I asked (who didn’t know each other) all recommended FFP 4 years ago! I am so blessed that God put this school and these amazing teachers and staff in our lives. I can’t imagine going anywhere else! This is our 4th year. My son sadly had to move onto 1st grade, but thankfully my little girl just started their 3-year-old program. I love that the staff prays every morning before school, and has God at the forefront each and every day! I can leave my child there and know 100% that they are being so loved and cared for.

I can’t say enough great things about this preschool! After checking out many preschools in the area, I walked into FFP and immediately fell in love with the environment, teachers, and staff! Not only do they provide a fabulous learning environment they nurture and love my kids as there own! I am so grateful for the families I’ve met through FFP and the friends my boys have made. Both of my boys have adored their time at FFP! Forever Grateful!

I cannot speak more highly of First Foundations Preschool! After 3 years of attending, we never want to leave, and wish they had an elementary school as well. My children have attended other schools but have never been as thrilled to get to school every morning as they are at FFP. I have been amazed by the high caliber teachers that genuinely love the kids, and are dedicated to their development. They teach them the required academics in such thoughtful and creative ways while also building in an important Christian foundation. The teachers also care about the families at the school in addition to the children themselves. I was so impressed with how happy the teachers were to be working at FFP. The positive attitudes and joy within the school start from top, and you just feel it radiate throughout the entire building. The environment is so warm and inviting, and I knew the minute that I walked in for a tour that I had to enroll. I would recommend First Foundations to anyone looking for a school with absolutely no hesitation. Don’t look anywhere else because this is where you need to be!

I can’t say enough good things about First Foundations. I was concerned about putting my son in preschool because he had trouble being separated from me, but the teachers at First Foundations were so patient and loving. They made the transition to preschool so much easier for my son. I think I had as much anxiety about leaving him as he did about leaving me. But I have come to trust this school and the teachers so very much. I know without a doubt he is in good hands. The teachers at First Foundations are some of the most loving, creative, and joyful I have seen. They genuinely love children and actually ENJOY their jobs! The environment at FFP is such a joyful place. Happy teachers and happy kids. God’s love is all over that place. And I was so impressed with the creativity in the classroom. Each week the children are doing creative hands-on projects and having fun, new adventures. The teachers are excellent at communicating with the parents, too. I received daily if not weekly emails from both of my son’s teachers telling me what he was learning and doing in class. No school is perfect, but this one is pretty close!

One of a kind – a gift to you and your kids! Four years ago I was searching for something better. Our first preschool didn’t understand my daughter…she was miserable. I set out to find something new that would do more than just meet my kids’ needs. I still remember walking through the front door at First Foundations (FFP), meeting Steffani Wilkins…and exhaling. This was the place.
My son and daughter both spent three years at FFP – including the kinder-readiness program (for both) and kindergarten for my daughter. It seems unreal to say, but each class and each teacher was an exceptional experience. When one year would end, I would wonder how the next year could ever live up to that experience. But, each time it did. Both of my kiddos grew their confidence and skills – while having fun …which is so important! The teachers exceeded my expectations – each sharing their unique gifts and talents with the kids…and with me.
We’re at a new ‘big kid’ school this year, and I’m lamenting that I don’t have a third child so we could still have our daily connection with this amazing school and the precious teachers. Thankfully, those teachers are now my friends.
If you are looking for a preschool for your kids, you need to visit First Foundations. This is the place that will nurture, enrich, and love your kids (and your entire family).

We are truly blessed to have had both of our sons attend First Foundations Preschool! It is an amazing school! The teachers and staff are phenomenal- so loving, caring, nurturing, and kind. Not only has FFP provided a wonderful academic foundation for our children, but it has nurtured and encouraged further growth spiritually, musically, socially, and emotionally. Our boys have loved their time at First Foundations and we are beyond grateful for the positive experiences FFP has provided for our children and for our family. First Foundations truly is an exceptional beginning and foundation for your child’s educational career.

“Do I get to go to school today?” This is the daily conversation with our three-year-old who has thrived at First Foundations. We are greeted with smiles from the receptionists and hugs from the director, Mrs. Wilkins, who all take the time to know each and every child at the school. The facility is every bit magical as it is meticulously clean. The walls are adorned with beautiful artwork, two playgrounds to ensure they get plenty of play, classrooms that are designed to inspire young minds, music, and Spanish classes to further enrich their learning, and caring teachers that truly invest in your child. Any school can teach your little one letter and numbers. To see pure joy on my daughter’s face when I pick her up from school is really the greatest testament of all. We love First Foundations!

First Foundations Preschool has been a blessing to our family; it has surpassed our expectations. Our daughter is currently enrolled in her second year of Pre-K, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress she has made. We know that she will be more than prepared for kindergarten next fall. We greatly appreciate the teachers and staff who make First Foundations such a great place for our daughter to learn and grow.

Our family absolutely LOVES First Foundations!! I have 3 children and each have attended since they were 3 years old. The teachers are SO amazing and caring. Just walking into the school you sense the love from Steffani, the teachers and staff. Everyone (including the children) are happy and engaged in learning. All of my children attended through Kinder and I believe they were all very well prepared when it was time to move to 1st grade. Steffani is a hands on owner of the school and it is her priority to ensure she has the best teachers in place. I literally cried my eyes out when my youngest son graduated from Kinder because I was so sad we wouldn’t be returning to this fabulous school. I have joked that I want to have another child just so I can raise another child through First Foundations. It’s that good!!

There are not enough words to express my love for the teachers and establishment of First Foundations preschool (and AWESOME kindergarten!). When we were first visiting schools for my (at the time) 3 year old daughter, FFP was head and shoulders above the rest. It is positively everything I could have dreamed of in a school. It tows the delicate balance between warm, caring, and nurturing with structure and discipline. The love the teachers have for their students is abundantly evident. And like adding children to your own family, you think “how could I love the next one as much?!” so goes each year with a new teacher. Each teacher is uniquely gifted in different areas but across the board, talented and caring beyond imagine. The most wonderful thing about this school though is their love for the Lord. The life-changing message of God’s love for us permeates each art project, song learned, and activity done. These are women who truly love the Lord and are excited to share that contagious joy with each student they come in contact with. But be warned, FFP will leave you wanting more once kindergarten is completed:)

Our family moved to Austin in July of 2011. We had planned on moving for two years and it took that long to tie up all the loose ends. There were so many other things we had to worry about…moving our stuff, finding a home, settling in…that a preschool for both our children was not at the forefront. Our move and finding the home we did were really a ‘God thing.’
I passed by First Foundations several times in the first two weeks and wondered about it. Not many people I asked knew about it but there was something that drew me in. On a sweltering afternoon I put the kids in the car and drove there finally. Mrs. Wilkins opened the door and when she smiled I knew that we belonged. She exuded so much love, joy and charisma. My kids were drawn in immediately and felt secure and comfortable. When I called my husband and told him I was filling out the paperwork he was a bit taken aback by my quick decision. The only problem was that my almost 5 year old got into a 2 day program and there were no spots available in the 5 day classes. Mrs. Wilkins assured me that she would let me know as soon as there was a spot available. I prayed.
A week before school began Mrs. Wilkins called with the best news, that there was spot in a 5 day program for early 5’s. Another ‘God Thing’.
The last 5 months that our two children have been attending First Foundations have been amazing. They are loved for who they are and their individuality is respected and encouraged. There is never a day when they don’t want to go to school. First Foundations is such a welcoming place, from the moment you walk in the door and see the smiles of the staff and teachers. They are greeted everyday by a teacher genuinely happy to see them. I often think that if I were teaching 15 three year olds I would be a screaming crazy person. Yet, God has chosen each of these wonderful women to teach our children with love and patience. I count my children’s teachers among my friends. They are happy to stop and chat and share mutual joys and burdens. I have been especially impressed with how close and supportive the teachers are of each other.
Mrs. Wilkins the principal is a visionary and involved in every aspect of the school. Her eye for aesthetics and flair for color are evident in the hallways and in each classroom. I am always amazed at how she knows the names of children and their special needs. She’s the antithesis to the old image of the stern, strict disciplinarian.
Most of all, the children are nurtured in God’s Word and in His ways. The teachers plant spiritual and educational seeds needed to raise children of integrity and service. I have seen both my children grow in the belief that they are valued individuals created by God in His own image.
My only regret about First Foundations is that they don’t go beyond preschool and my kids will eventually graduate. Maybe having more kids will change that!!!
