Gift of Time
We proudly offer a Bridge Class specifically crafted for children on the cusp of entering kindergarten. Some children benefit from an additional year of growth in academics or socialization. This thoughtful option allows parents to provide their children a unique opportunity to develop socially and academically, ensuring they are fully prepared for the transition to kindergarten. We use a kindergarten curriculum that fosters essential skills in a supportive setting, where smaller class sizes and tailored learning experiences allow for personalized attention and growth. We believe this extra year can significantly impact a child’s confidence and readiness for the next step in their educational journey. We invite parents to contact us with any questions or to discuss their child’s needs, as we are dedicated to fostering open communication and a strong sense of community within our First Foundations family.
Bridging the gap from letters to words
The Science of Reading is truly a magical key that unlocks the enchanting world of literature for our little learners! At First Foundations Preschool, our accelerated phonics program empowers children with the tools to confidently sound out words while sparking their curiosity and igniting a lifelong love for reading. This class offers more individual help to build their skills and confidence as they work to become independent. Join us in this transformative experience where reading becomes an excellent gateway to exploration and discovery!
We believe math is an exciting entryway to a world of discovery, introducing children to essential concepts such as addition, subtraction, tally marks, graphing, time, shapes, and patterns. These foundational skills spark curiosity and are critical building blocks for cognitive development. Our nurturing environment encourages children to explore these mathematical ideas through engaging activities and play, fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. We invite parents to join us by discussing these concepts at home, reinforcing our commitment to a collaborative and supportive educational experience.
Our curriculum thoughtfully integrates the study of the Old and New Testaments, inviting students on an engaging and transformative journey through Biblical narratives. Guided by two captivating characters, children explore these timeless stories, discovering their relevance and application to their lives today. This interactive approach fosters a deeper understanding of spiritual teachings. It empowers children to relate these lessons to their everyday experiences, nurturing a strong moral and ethical foundation that aligns with our commitment to educational excellence and community support.
At First Foundations Preschool, we cherish sharing with parents that our Bridge Class embodies the “Gift of Time” for their children. This unique program is thoughtfully designed to equip young learners with essential social and academic skills, providing them with invaluable tools to serve them in the present and throughout their lives. The Bridge Class fosters an environment of individualized attention, allowing children to thrive through meaningful one-on-one interactions and engaging group activities. Here, they develop a sense of belonging while enhancing their capabilities, setting the foundation for lifelong success. Together, we nurture their growth and development in a warm, supportive community, ensuring each child feels valued and empowered on their learning journey.
We offer Spanish and Music, along with chapel each week. The foundation laid in the preschool years is expanded on in these enrichment programs. Each week, our students engage in delightful music sessions where they learn to read notes, sparking their love for rhythm and melody. In our Spanish classes, children embark on a language acquisition journey, developing conversational skills that promote social interaction and communication—essential tools for their growth. Additionally, our weekly chapel is a cornerstone of our Christ-centered approach, reinforcing values and character development that complement academic enrichment.
